DISTOPIA
The bad rain falls
Burning through my acid home
Another camera takes note
My face is known to those that lead
I drink the nutrient paste
And leave some for the mutated roach
My new legs flex
They are enchanced for the lithium mines
I wish I had a single friend
But my credit score is too low
My credit score is far too low
Maybe the roach will mutate ears
To listen to my worry
Maybe he’ll mutate shoulders to rest my tired head
Maybe he’ll mutate to be horse sized, so he can carry me away
Oh roach
My one true friend
Roach
My distopian woes
ELECTRIC
I want
Electric
New world
Electric
Free Us
Electric
Lead Us
Electric
Wires crossed
Between my ears
No longer feel
My human fears
Flashing lights
In blue and green
Dont wake me from
My techno dream
I want
Electric
New World
Electric
Brain implants?
I’ll test it
New thoughts
Electric
Don’t you want an easy day?
Live life free, the robot way
Let go of your human form
Its time the techno world is born
We’ll dance at night and charge by day
Zap our brains and only play
Livin life the wired way
Prioritise efficiency

EVOLUTION
1.
The hominids grew out of Earth
Many of their primate relatives now extinguished
Branches clipped from a towering tree of evolution
It would seem, a conflict of resources
And a lust for power
2.
Many planets are barren cousins
And the drive to survive, succeeded only here
It’s natural to enquire into one’s own position
To seek mastery over threat and limitation
3.
Each life cycle came with greater knowledge
Patterns and concepts linked revealing their common source
The once ape and primal neural structure wove more complex threads
The tissue inflated and commanded more resources
And the capacity for evolutionary dominance
Hinged on symbol, syntax and voice
The transmission of intention
The categorisation of form
4.
Fundamental elements deconstructed
By a collective mind that knows no intellectual satisfaction
Chemical and molecular worlds were excavated and harnessed
As readily as the terrene landscape bled minerals
Studied and overcome
Utilised
5.
Organic sentience is a by-product of cosmic chaos
They reached toward the broader blackness
And sought to be united with it’s forces
The stars offered them promise of a great purpose
A mystery and familiarity
The limits of their biology: a weight to be discarded
6.
Their cultures multiplied and chose unique presentations
Always territorial in nature along the landscape of psychological clutter
A drive to share and devise information
Only transformed in means and sophistication
Technological feats, brushed on the boundary of transcendence
And gratified in their knowing, they abandoned Gaian definition
I GOT A MACHINE
Robert Rowland
I got a machine!
It has lots of power
I got a machine!
I use it every hour
I got a machine!
It’s radioactive
I got a machine!
It’s radioactive
I got a
I got a machine!
It does many tasks
I got a machine!
It runs really fast
I got a machine!
It’s radioactive
I got a machine!
It’s radioactive
I got a
I got a machine!
It has lots of gears
I got a machine!
Took me years
I got a machine!
It’s radioactive
I got a machine!
It’s radioactive
I got a
Witness its power
GORILLA MAN
Once I was a lowly ape
Picking fruits on tree landscapes
Now you see what I’ve become
A web of life and I have won
My thoughts are deep and calculated
My world precise, sophisticated
All thats primative, eliminated
The intellect is free
Now you see
Now you see
Nothing left
The intellect is free
Now you see
Now you see
Nothing left
Nothing ape
The intellect is free
But do ya do when you’re hungry
What do ya do when you’re angry
Gorilla man can’t you see?
You’re never truly free
What do ya do when you’re losing
When your ego gets a brusing
When your girl needs some loving
Gorilla man you’ll be
Ohhhh, I’m so elated
I love my world, so complicated
Ohhhhh screw the jungle
The old ape mind is only trouble
Onga bonga
Wooga boo
Climb that tree
Fling a poo
Eat a fish
Chase that ass
The techno world is way too fast
